ACTING FOR STAGE AND SCREEN

We explore different styles and techniques to produce well rounded actors.  We look at improvisation, physical theatre, script work and devising.

Autumn term is all about Acting for Screen and Winter Term is all about Acting for Stage.

We use the Trinity and MN Awards acting syllabuses to structure the classes and prepare students for the different types of examinations and performance experiences.  We want to create active listeners, creative thinkers, problem solvers, confident speakers and collaborative team players

MN Graded Examinations in Screen Acting are designed for people interested in learning practical skills relevant for (solo) acting on camera (based on a naturalistic style). With a focus on vocal, physical, internal and technical skills that cross a broad range of film production.  The Learner has a number of practical challenges and is tasked with performing a variety of extracts, including devised, monologue and multi-character scenes.

It doesn't matter whether they are a beginner or already begun to explore drama, we will tailor the classes to suit all levels.

Limited class sizes ensure that each child gets the specific development and professional education they need to follow their dreams.

I could not recommend Pata enough. My daughter has been going since pre school and has loved every moment and created a real passion. It is a great place to learn new performing skills but on another level, the kids build character, make amazing friendships and develop who they are. Miss Becky and Miss Zoe are great teachers and run an amazing school.
