Unlocking the Spotlight: Exciting new Screen Acting Syllabus to Elevate Your Skills

We are adding to our Acting classes and adding Screen Acting into our syllabus!

This is a great addition to these classes, bringing an extra level of acting technique and skills that will enhance our students creative repertoire.

Using MN Awards as our basis, the first term of each academic year will be focused on Screen Acting. We delve into the world of film and TV and see what it takes to become a screen actor.

Using real TV and Film scripts, our students can explore complex characters and emotions through the stillness of close up and mid shots that allow you to create focus to really listen to your screen partner.

This is super exciting and something we have done in the past, but not to this level and we can not wait to explore this acting medium with all our acting students.

The second term we will return to the world of theatre, noticing the differences between the 2 performance skills and enhancing the raw emotions portrayed on screen and brining them to life to a live audience. This takes a very different set of skills, so it is great that our students get to learn both in a structed way.

Learning will be fast paced, with worked required at home to learn lines and characterisation. But all the tools will be provided in class to bring these characters to life, whether that is down the lens of a camera or on stage in front of a live audience!
